The Hayward XStream Full-Flo Filter System has a XStream size for a XStream clean and is designed specifically for the rigors of above ground filtration. This system utilizes a reusable single element filter cartridge of reinforced polyester with a molded center core to provide superior water clarity requiring the absolute minimal care. The super-fine 100% polyester element can filter out anything down to 9 microns in size. Offers an extra-large filter body to ensure an equal distribution of dirt and debris throughout the filtering element, dramatically extending the filter cleaning cycle. Includes a quick-release, high-capacity air relief valve to prevent over pressurization. The extra-large filter body is constructed of a non-corrosive Perma-Glass XL for a long and trouble free life. Featuring the Easy-Lok ring to give you single-turn access to all internal components for simple servicing and maintenance.The XStream is equipped with the non-corrosive Power-Flo Matrix pump designed to operate with less resistance than conventional units, thus producing more filtered water using less horsepower. It may be Xstream on filtration but this system is extremely cost efficient and more convenient than ever before! Systems include the 1½" hose packages consisting of (2) 1½" x 6' lengths of hose, hose adapters and clamps, and feature a union connection for simple installation and winterization. Back to Top

Cartridge or element filtration has been available for a relatively long time, but Hayward has recently made achievements in this technology which has caused a rapid growth of acceptance within this media choice. Cartridge filters are constructed of a of reinforced polyester fiber material which is very effective in removing dirt and suspended matter when water passes through it. A cartridge filter screens out dirt at the surface of the element. When clean, the element will trap larger particles, with finer particles being filtered out as the pores of the element become clogged by the larger debris. The cartridge element can be removed and cleaned by pressure washing inside and out with a garden hose. Back to TopInstallation
