Water that contains trace amounts (0.5 ppm or less) of iron, copper or manganese can lead to staining problems after reacting with other pool chemicals. AquaPill Stain Preventer helps sequester these heavy metals and prevents the precipitation that leads to staining and water discoloration. Use this product at the start of every season in order to avoid the staining problem. If well water or water that is known to contain heavy metals is used, it is best to add the product at twice the recommended dosage. For continuing protection, add a maintenance dose on a monthly basis and prior to the addition of any new make up water. This product will work better if the chlorine level is 3 ppm and the pH is 7.8 or higher. This product is safe to use in all types of pools and with all types of sanitizers.
