Description
High levels of copper can cause staining of pool and spa fixtures. Algicides, copper ionizers and corrosion of copper pipes may elevate the level of copper in the water. To avoid these problems, test the Total Copper level periodically.25 strips per bottle. Back to Top
More Info
Copper is another common water contaminant. It is a metal that can cause staining and water discoloration similar to problems caused by iron. Levels of copper above 0.2 ppm (mg/L) can be very problematic. Excess copper can cause liner and/or interior stains. Copper can also cause the color of the water to be a green or blue color not consistent with normal pool and spa water. High levels can also lead to particle build up on metal fixtures and in plumbing. Also high levels have been known to develop a metal taste in the water.
