Use Ice Water

You should advise your customers for Patch-It to use ice water when mixing the material and applying it to above-water surfaces. My initial attempts at using Patch-It were only marginally successful because the mix set up too fast (like in 3-5 minutes, including mixing time). I found that using ice water extends the usable life of the mix to 10 minutes or more (depending upon the ambient temperature and the temperature of the surface being patched. Wear Gloves, very dangerous!
I have used this product multiple times and it is great for replacing pool tiles and or patching bad spots in the gunite. This last time, I used it on my bathroom tile that was falling off. Unfortunately I did not see the warning, Eye and Skin irritant, respiratory irritant. I also did not know cement is a dangerous product. IT IS!!! I had the stuff all over my hands and now for 3 weeks I have had blisters, skin peeling, fingers swelling, and skin peeling some more. I have had two prescriptions .. more

works great

I use this product every year after I remove the pool cover. I lose about 10 tiles over the winter and this works great to put them back on. Use very small batches because it dries real fast.

Very short working life span after mixing. Hard to get the right consistency. There is a definite learning curve to this product.

Patch it

I have a guinite pool with about 8" of tiles along the top. This is the best product I have found. Works best if you replace a few tiles at a time one day, then a few the next. A bit tricky below water but you have to be very patient. Good product.
