RETAIL STORE MANAGER TRAINEE
Job Description:
The Leslie's Pool Supplies Management Training Program ("MTP") is designed for highly qualified college graduates and experienced management professionals that have an interest in building a career in retail store management. Those selected for the program will train for four months on the job, working closely with a current retail Store Manager to insure you learn every aspect of the pool business. The Manager Trainee will assist in overseeing the performance of an assigned Leslie's store to ensure it is meeting or exceeding customer service standards and sales plans, as well as performance and operating procedures, and merchandising objectives. The Manager Trainee will contribute to the development of and is responsible for managing sales plans, profit margins, payroll, and all controllable expenses. He or she will also learn best practices to train and develop personnel on all required programs, and establishes the expectation of providing excellent customer service through personal example and expectation.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 23 years of age;
Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred;
Willingness to relocate after the training period;
If an applicant does not possess a Bachelor's degree in a related area, the following experiences will be considered as a substitute: 3 years specialty retail management experience, 3 years department management experience for a large retail chain, or 4 years military experience.
