Solar Heating system easy to install
The Sunheater system was purchased for warming our 25K gallon in ground pool. I self performed the piping and had a neighbor lad help me assemble the panels on the roof. In all, only about 7 to 8 hour was used to do the full installation. 3 on piping and 4 to 5 hrs on the roof. There were about 3 trips to the home improvement store for all the right pipe fittings. We installed 3 sets of panels.
When assembled, the pump was turned back on and warm water was going into the pool immediately. .. more

I bought these panels (2 pkgs of 3) and the kit last summer. My backyard pool has over the years become completely shaded by neighboring trees, and I didn't even use the pool because the water never warmed up past 70. Last summer, I had these panels installed on the sunniest part of my roof, and they worked great. Until it started to rain in August and never stopped until snowfall. This year, I opened Memorial Day weekend, within a few weeks had 78 degrees, and been maintaining 84 degrees daily. .. more

I have had this system on my roof for over 20 years with no problems. One panel cracked this winter so I will be replacing one planel.I live in Santa Cruz which doesn't get much sun in the summer(mostly fog) and the pool still gets between 85 & 90 degrees with the motor running 6 hrs a day and a solar blanket.Since the motor has to run anyway the panels give me free heat.Dude can't beat that!

Unfortunately, to install this on your roof, you would need an architectural drawing proving it meets Hurricane tie down requirements. I will not be able to use it, and will be returning to Leslies.

We installed five panels on our roof 3 years ago. We invested in solar to extend our pool season. In Ohio, we didn't see much of a benefit in that regard. We maybe get 1 week before and after the Memorial Day/Labor Day season.

I will say, ON SUNNY DAYS, the solar panels do work in taking the chill out of the water. Our pool is typically 10 degrees warmer than our neighbors pool. I don't like cold water and below 85 is cold to me unless it's July and hot outside. Sounds weird, .. more
