Convenient chlorinator
Bought this chlorinator when my Hayward needed new parts. I could only get four 3-inch tablets to fit. Be sure to close the vents when filling since some of the dust could fall through and contact your skin unknowingly. It chlorinates effectively but my large pool (38000 gallons) requires additional granular added daily.

Better than the rest
I used to use these and bought another brand in the off-season because this unit was trashed after three yrs in the sun. Well, now when it's really hot in AZ my new unit is not dispersing enough chlorine to control algae even wide-open. I'm junking the new one and buying one of these tomorrow because I hate scrubbing algae off the walls of my pool.

Great floater
I think this is the best floater on the market. I have looked at others to replace my aging Apollo and there is really no comparison.

Bottom literally fell out
The product advertises itself as providing "years and years" of service, but I had mine only a few months when the bottom portion broke off from the rest of the unit rendering it useless. Since I never took it out of the water (I dropped the chlorine tabs in it while it was floating), I can only surmise that it disinegrated.
